Our Mission:

In the Jesuit and Sisters of Charity tradition of education, Loyola builds upon the gifts that God has given each child in their diversity, and develops their spiritual values, by helping each child to find their purpose in life, and develop the ideals which are essential to future leaders.

School Philosopy:

Our philosophy is based on the Two Great Commandments: Love of God and Love of Neighbor. Our Educational programs are aimed at developing every aspect of the child: spiritual, intellectual, emotional and physical. We expect each child to put forth his/her best efforts and to work according to his/her God-given talents and abilities. We provide educational programs, with emphasis on the basic skills, using innovative approaches to the curriculum standards of the Archdiocese of Denver.

Religion at Loyola School
The Week begins with a school liturgy in our Church, sponsored by each grade. This is an important program at Loyola. Each Liturgy has a theme that is based on the Liturgical year and centered around selected Saints. The service is held on Monday mornings and is the first activity of the day and week, thus emphasizing the importance of our Catholic identity.
Religion Classes
Loyola’s formal religion classes are a mainstay of the school curriculum. Both Catholic children and non-Catholic children are instructed in the same manner during classes. These yearlong classes are structured according to the Liturgical year. Catholic identity is evident through the strong religious education classes and the strong commitment to Christian value systems at the School.

Sacramental Preparation
Sacramental preparation in conjunction with the parish Religious Education Program is an extremely meaningful program for the children.

Our Respect for the Nation
On a daily basis, each day is begun with prayers with the children’s individual intentions included, followed by the Pledge of allegiance. Each classroom is provided with a large American flag for this purpose and the children are taught the importance of their American heritage.
